A rural Manitoba couple is concerned about bison roaming on their property.
Brenda and Wally Serger, who live near Libau in the RM of St. Clement, said they saw a herd of about 50 bison on their property Sunday morning.
The Sergers said the bison escape from Brokenhead First Nation on a weekly basis. They have contacted the RM’s bylaw officer over the issue.
It was not confirmed whether the bison were still on the loose Sunday evening—a call to the Brokenhead band office was not immediately returned.
