New Democrat Leader Greg Selinger has held on to his St. Boniface seat, despite an election night Tory wave.
CTV News Winnipeg declared that Selinger has been re-elected in the riding, beating out PC candidate Mamadou Ka, Liberal Alain Landry, and Green Party candidate Signe Knutson
Selinger has held the St. Boniface riding since 1999. He won the 2011 provincial election with 68 per cent of the vote.
Although analysts and pollsters considered the Progressive Conservatives to be a lock to form government this election, Selinger's seat was considered one of the safest in the election contest.
