A Winnipeg police officer has been charged in connection with a motor vehicle collision.
RCMP said Andrew Stevenson, 27, is charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The crash happened on March 12 at around 3 a.m. in a Winnipeg residential area.
Saskatchewan RCMP said it involved two off-duty Winnipeg police officers.
Manitoba justice said their vehicle hit a parked car in a residential neighbourhood. Both cars were damaged, as well as a fire hydrant. One of the police officers was sent to hospital.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba found a conflict of interest and asked an outside body to take over.
