A heavy police presence in Winnipeg’s core area late Thursday afternoon.
Around 5 p.m., a car hit a pedestrian on Balmoral Street between Sargent and Cumberland avenues.
Emergency crews quickly responded and loaded the man into an ambulance.
Thursday evening, police updated his condition to stable.
Police closed Balmoral to traffic for several hours to investigate.
Officers happened to be on the scene when the collision occured, as they were in the area to take a statement in an unrelated assault.
