A Winnipeg school went into lockdown after a man pulled out a pellet gun during an argument near the school’s playground during the noon hour on Friday.

Two men got into an argument near the playground of Victor Mager School around 12:25 p.m. An adult supervisor witnessed the argument and went over to intervene.

One of the men pulled out a pellet hand gun. The supervisor told him to leave and the suspect fled.

The school called police, who found the suspect and arrested him near St. Anne’s Road and Beliveau Road. They also found marijuana and crack cocaine in the suspect’s possession.

A 19-year-old man is charged with possessing a weapon for dangerous purposes, drug possession, and failing to comply with a sentence.
