Several Winnipeg police units were in the Exchange District due to an ongoing investigation Saturday.

Winnipeg police officers, along with the K9 unit were in the area of McDermot Avenue and Arthur Street late Saturday morning. Police tape and police cruisers were blocking several roads in the area.

Police told CTV News there were no details to share at this time, saying only this is an ongoing police investigation. Police had asked the public to avoid the area.

Around 2 p.m., police said the matter had concluded and the area was re-opened to the public.
