Police investigating suspicious death after woman found on Cumberland Ave.

Police say one woman is dead following “suspicious circumstances” at a Cumberland Avenue apartment complex Friday morning.

The Winnipeg Police Service was called to 448 Cumberland Ave. at 2:30 a.m.

A 32-year-old woman was taken to hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

Police tape was up Friday morning in front of the complex, with sandals, bags and other debris littering the sidewalk out front. The tape was taken down around 8:30 a.m.

Police are not releasing any other details at this time.
