Officials said a bridge on PR 253 over the Pembina River in southwest Manitoba has been closed for repairs.

An inspection process found damage to the bridge caused by the 2011 flood.

The bridge, located west of Pilot Mound, is expected to be closed for about six weeks, said the province.

Officials said there are more than 30 other bridges on the Assiniboine and Souris rivers in southwestern Manitoba that are also being monitored.
