A key piece of the road upgrades around Polo Park could face delays.
A city report says the St. Matthews Avenue extension from St. James Street to Route 90 may take longer than first anticipated.
It was scheduled for completion by October 2015.
Land acquisition is slowing down the plan to expand St. Matthews and could also impact some work on St. James.
The report says the delay could also lead to more cost overruns.
In July, council approved an additional $5.3 million dollars for the $40 million project.
