If you have a tee time today, be ready for a very windy afternoon and evening out on the links in southern Manitoba! Strong west winds are gusting up to 60 to 70 km/h this afternoon.
Otherwise, most areas will be fairly sunny and warm with temperatures in the mid-20s. So, if you're not a fan of the hot temperatures over the last few days, you'll get your wish today.
A low south of Island Lake is spreading rain across the southern tier of northern Manitoba this afternoon. An associated trough is hanging back across right across the region into Saskatchewan. Thunderstorms could develop today along that stretch, but they are expected to be non-severe. That said, there is the possibility that funnel clouds could develop. Showers will continue tonight.
Winds stay strong tonight in the south with clearing skies throughout the evening.
After hot temperatures most of the week, Friday's high of 20C in Winnipeg might seem cool. But that could be a good thing for some!
Temperatures start to warm up again on Saturday ahead of rain starting that night, continuing through Sunday morning. Rain showers or thunderstorms are possible most of next week.
