Attention all green thumbs! If you have any plants outside that you can bring indoors tonight, it would be worth your while. Frost is expected overnight in Winnipeg and across the rest of the southeast and south-central Manitoba.
There is also a widespread risk of frost tonight across the rest of southern Manitoba including Brandon and in Thompson in the north.
A arctic high pressure ridge moving into our area will clear the sky tonight and drop overnight lows at or close to 0C. And with light winds, frost is certainly a possibility overnight.
Today is still cool here in the south after that low pressure system that affected northern and central Manitoba has moved off. But after all the rain, freezing rain and snow the low left behind, conditions are generally much more pleasant today across the north.
Sunshine and warmer temperatures in the low to mid-20s return to Winnipeg for the weekend. Then we turn up the heat as we start off the month of June on Monday. Expect daytime highs in the upper 20s or low 30s next week!
