A man was rushed to hospital early Thursday morning after suffering multiple stab wounds in the North End, said police.

Officers were called to the area of Selkirk Avenue and Parr Street just before 2 a.m., where they found the victim. Paramedics rushed the victim to hospital in critical condition.

Police said they believe the victim had been the victim of a robbery attempt involving a female and male suspect.

The first suspect is described as a male, aboriginal in appearance, with a skinny build, about six feet one inches tall to six feet two inches tall (185 - 188 cm), about 18 to 19 years old, wearing a dark jacket and baggy jeans.

The second suspect is described as a woman, aboriginal in appearance, about five feet one inches to five feet two inches tall (154 to 157 cm), about 25 to 26 years old, wearing a dark jacket with grey or white fur around the hood.
