Winnipeg Police are investigating after three people were shot early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the 700 block of William Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. where three males were suffering from gunshot wounds, said police.

An investigation has revealed that they had been at a social gathering in the first 100 block of Keewatin Avenue when an argument erupted between one of the victims and a fourth person.

The suspect pulled out a firearm and shot all of the males in the lower body, said police.

The Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
