Winnipeg police have laid charges against a man and woman after a beating that put a 59-year-old man in hospital.
Officers and emergency services rushed to an apartment on Smith Street around 3 p.m. Wednesday to find a man badly beaten. He was rushed to hospital and remains there now, according to police.
Police said the man was found injured in his apartment by an acquaintance, and it is believed he was assaulted much earlier in the day.
Now, 42-year-old Evelyn Orillian Flett and 29-year-old Ryan Arthur Shingoose have been charged with aggravated assault.
