A status report on the aging bridge says it might not be replaced until 2020, if at all.

Earlier this week, an engineering study suggested the 100-year-old overpass is in poor condition.

CTV News gained access to the study that called for $1.5 million to be spent this year on upgrades.

The city has set $2 million aside for 2017 to begin design work for a new bridge, or to determine if improvements at other crossings would work better.

Coun. Mike Pagtakhan (Point Douglas) says he has safety concerns and wants a replacement done in the next few years.
