Legendary blues and folk figures and rising local stars will take the stage at the 41st Winnipeg Folk Festival this July. The festival released it’s 2014 lineup on Saturday.

Blues singer and slide-guitar pioneer Bonnie Raitt will open the festival. Folk icon and activist Joan Baez will make her Folk Fest debut as part of the Sunday night closing show.

Other big international and Canadian stars include Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, Amy Helm, daughter of the late Levon Helm, and 2013 Winnipeg Folk Festival Artistic Achievement Award winnerAni DiFranco. Canadian singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie and Alberta country singer Corb Lund will also play the festival.

No festival would be complete without a cadre of local folkies. The Bros. Landreth are Chic Gamine are just a few of familiar faces that will appear on stage.

The festival runs from July 9 to 13.
