A 27-year-old Manitoba care worker faces charges after police launched an investigation into a report of a person with a disability being sexually assaulted.

The person with a disability had been a client at the Pulford Community Living Services in the Interlake.

RCMP said Cody Diell has been charged with three counts of sex assault against a single victim.

The investigation covered the first four months of the year, according to police.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The province said it also investigated. It said no other clients reported any mistreatment.

The province also said the victim has been offered counselling and alternate accommodations.
