Drivers will notice more road repairs in Winnipeg this summer and fall.
The city’s infrastructure committee approved $8 million worth of extra road repairs to start this year. The money will come from the 2017 budget to fix 15 streets, one in each city ward.
The move comes in response to complaints from the construction industry over a lack of work that could lead to layoffs. Council must sign off on the funding next week.
