Holiday check stop
Winnipeg police and RCMP launched their holiday check-stop program on Monday, Dec. 3.

The numbers are in for the third week of the festive season check stop.
Winnipeg police say 1,101 vehicles were stopped. Seven people were charged with impaired driving or refusing a breathalyzer, five had their license suspended for 24 hours and three drivers were suspended for longer periods of time. One person was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Check stops run until Jan. 1, 2013.
