Winnipeg police confirmed Wednesday morning that the homicide unit is investigating after a 55-year-old man was found deceased in a downtown suite.

Police were called out to a Manitoba housing complex in the 300 block of Assiniboine Avenue around 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 6.

The body had signs of upper body trauma, said police.

Results of an autopsy are pending.

Police identified the man as Hank Louis Lecoy.

Officers previously issued missing person notices about Lecoy twice earlier this year, but he was later located, most recently in March.

No arrests have been made in his death, said police Wednesday. Officers continue to investigate.
