It's been a hard but fun weekend for curlers at The Forks. Under sunny skies, curlers have been playing all weekend at the Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel.

It's Canada's largest outdoor curling event.

This year, that means 72 teams, made up of 280 people.

"The sheet we are on right now is completely titling to one side, but it's lots of fun," said curler Lauren Kroela.

"It's been a cold weekend, and a lot of snow, and the last two days were tough, but the curlers rose to the challenge, and the ice crews, and today is a beautiful, sunny day so we are very grateful.

The weekend bonspiel sold out. Organizers said in the event's 14-year history, this year has been the best year yet.
