WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets recalled forward Quinton Howden from the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose on Saturday and placed forward Mathieu Perreault on injured reserve.

Perreault hadn't played since he was sustained an upper-body injury during a game against Washington on Nov. 3. The move to put Perreault on injured reserve is retroactive to Nov. 4.

Howden has nine points in 11 games with Manitoba this season. The 24-year-old leads the Moose with seven goals, which is tied for third in the AHL, and a plus-six rating.

Howden had six goals and five assists in 58 games with the Florida Panthers last season. He was selected by the Panthers in the first round, 25th overall in the 2010 NHL draft.

Winnipeg signed Howden as a free agent on July 1.
