Health Canada is recalling Arbonne fine line liquid eyeliner, after five reports of potential incidents or injuries from use of the product.

They said the makeup contains various bacteria – including S. saprophyticus, S. lentus and S. xylosis – that can cause infection. However, they indicated these are not commonly associated with eye infections.

There have not yet been any reports of injuries in Canada from use of the product, Health Canada added.

There were 7,160 units sold in Canada from April 14, 2016 to May 18, 2016. The colours being recalled are Eclipse (Black) and Arbor (Brown).

The product is manufactured at Dermaceutical Laboratories in the United States, and distributed by Arbonne International.
