A national business competition for aboriginal students is taking place at the University of Manitoba this week.

E-Spirit is a Canada-wide competition for aboriginal high school students in grades 10 to 12.

Children of the Earth High School has five teams taking part and Sisler High School has one team entered.

E-Spirit organizer Dianna Hudson says from October to February students make a business plan complete with a marketing video. The plans are then submitted to be judged.

Children of the Earth High School won gold in 2011 for their Edible Bouquets project.

The competition runs until May 17.
