Health Canada has issued a joint recall for an Academy Sports + Outdoors brand Outdoor Gourmet 100-quart Crawfish cooking kit.
The appliance is used outdoors to cook seafood in a 100-Qt pot, and the recall states that a hose which connects the fuel tank to the burner poses a fire hazard, as it can melt or burn.
Academy Sports + Outdoors have not received any reports of injuries or incidents in Canada, where it has been distributed by VDC Canada. In the US, there have been 14 reports of hoses melting or catching fire, with no injuries reported.
The affected unit has the model number FSOGBG4201 printed on a silver label on the burner. Consumers are asked to stop using the kit immediately and contact Academy Sports + Outdoors to obtain a replacement hose.
