A new poll is looking at the popularity of Canada’s Premiers.

The poll by Mainstreet/Postmedia surveyed over 5,000 Canadians from October 5 to 6 on whether they approved of their province’s premier, and the rest of the premiers in Canada.

In Manitoba, Premier Brian Pallister received an approval rating of 54 per cent. 37 per cent of those surveyed disapproved, while 9 per cent were unsure.

Those results differed outside Manitoba, with 87 per cent of respondents unsure of how to rank Pallister.

The majority of Manitobans are on par with the national results when it comes to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He received a 66 per cent approval rating from Manitobans, and a national approval rating of 65 per cent.

The most popular premier by province is Wade McLaughlan of Prince Edward Island with a 55 per cent approval rate, while the least popular is Ontario’s Premier Kathleen Wynne with a 19 per cent approval rating.

The Mainstreet/Postmedia poll has a margin error of +/- 1.33, 19 times out of 20.
