The homicide unit is investigating a shooting early Saturday morning night at the Blue Nile nightclub in the 500 block of Sargent Avenue.
Officers responded to a call about the sounds of shots fired, but couldn't find a victim when they arrived. Later, they got a report about a man brought to a nearby hospital in critical condition, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Police confirmed he had been injured at the Sargent Avenue scene.
