Police filled the streets near a home on St John’s Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.
SWAT teams and the Winnipeg Police Service could be seen on St John’s between McGregor and McKenzie streets.
Police said they executed a firearms search warrant.
They said firearms were found inside the home, but it appears they were all obtained legally.
Police took one man into custody, but they say no charges have been laid.
