Brian Bowman says he can’t lie - a new poll showing him ahead of Judy Wasylycia-Leis is encouraging news for his campaign.

An Insightrix Research poll done for CJOB/Global shows Bowman garnering 38 per cent of the vote with Wasylycia-Leis trailing with 36 per cent.

The results are in stark contrast to earlier polls that had Wasylycia-Leis with a comfortable lead.

But Wasylycia-Leis said she always believed the race was tight and that Bowman was her closest opponent.

The poll also shows Robert-Falcon Ouellette leap frogging Gord Steeves into third place with 14 per cent of the vote, leaving former city councilor Steeves with nine per cent.

The rest of the candidates sit with low single-digit support.

The poll reported 29 per cent of people who say they intend to vote remain undecided.
