Hydro crews worked as fast as they could to restore power to a Folklorama pavilion in St. Boniface.

A truck accidentally backed into and knocked over a hydro pole onto the Notre Dame Recreational Centre, home of the Andean pavilion.

Witnesses told CTV they heard a loud bang and saw a lot of sparks when the truck collided with the pole.

No one was injured.

Volunteers from the pavilion moved food from the centre to a nearby location to prepare it for Wednesday evening's shows, while hydro worked on repairs.

"The volunteers were fantastic. They were on it super quick. Notified the office - all of the staff jumped into high gear as well. Everyone is just really pulling together,” said Debra Zoerb, executive director of Folklorama.

Around 5 p.m., power was restored and the pavilion was up and running again with regular shows scheduled to run Aug. 13 evening.
