A German Shepherd puppy that was seriously injured after being tossed up in the air continues to make progress on her recovery.

Asha the pup is now off pain medication and X-rays show no signs of breaks or fractures, Manitoba Underdogs Rescue spokesperson Lindsay Gillanders said in an email.

The group said Asha is playing “just like a normal puppy” and has learned some commands, such as “sit”, “down”, and “leave it”.

Asha is currently living with a foster family. Gillanders said they aren’t sure when she will be put up for adoption.

She said the group has received hundreds of applications to adopt the pup.
