Dauphin RCMP are looking for two male suspects after a break in at a residential home that lead to one man being attacked.

On Oct. 16, around 1:50 a.m., officers received a report of a break and enter at a house in Dauphin. Police said the two suspects forced their way into the home through a door and assaulted one of the residents.

A 65-year-old man was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries. He has since been released.

“This appears to be an isolated incident,” said S/Sgt. Nolan Suss. “We are asking anyone with information to contact us.”

Police said the two men are described as being aboriginal in appearance and approximately six feet (182 centimetres) tall with slender builds. They said both were wearing hooded jackets, one was grey and the other was black.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
