Killarney RCMP are searching for a possible missing person after being contacted the Bottineau County Sheriff in North Dakota on June 30.

The sheriff received a 911 call from a male who was stating he was lost when the cell phone connection was lost. The male’s location was tracked and determined to be in the RM of Morton, Manitoba.

Initially Killarney RCMP, Manitoba Conservation officers and three Bottineau County border patrol agents searched the area near the border, close to Boundary Lake and Hartley Lake.

RCMP Search and Rescue and the Office of the Fire Commissioner are assisting with the search of the Turtle Mountain Park area.

RCMP said that the identity of the individual is unknown and that they are going on very little information. They said the male could have found his way and be unaware that there is a search for him.

RCMP ask that anyone with information call the Killarney RCMP at 204-523-7255, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
