The thunderstorm has moved on from Winnipeg but communities farther north still have a wet day ahead.

Rainfall warnings covered parts of central Manitoba Saturday morning.

Environment Canada issued the warnings for areas around The Pas, Wanless, Westray, Clearwater Lake Provincial Park, Norway House, Cross Lake and Wabowden.

The warning extends over the border into Saskatchewan, including Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain.

Those areas could get between 50 and 75 millimetres of rain throughout the day on Sunday.

Southern Manitoba communities still face a risk of thunderstorms Sunday morning, but skies should begin to clear by the afternoon as the wind picks up, blowing between 30 and 50 kilometres per hour.
