Two men wearing disguises broke into a beer store vendor in Russell, Man. and stole cases of beer.

Video surveillance caught the suspects breaking the glass on the front door and taking the cases out of the coolers.

One man was dressed as a goalie, wearing a blocker, trapper and carrying a goalie stick.

“However, he may have been a defenceman or forward in disguise as he was wearing jersey #17 – a non-traditional number for goalies,” RCMP said in a news release.

The other suspect was wearing mitts and gloves, a large coat and ball cap with his face covered.

Police ask anyone with information about the theft, or who might have played against a goalie matching that description, is asked to contact Russell RCMP.
