Around 200 people went door-to-door Tuesday night, looking for clues to help find a missing teen.

Cooper Nemeth disappeared early Sunday morning after attending a party in Valley Gardens.

The 17-year-old has not checked in with family or friends since.

His aunt helped organize a search for him across North Kildonan, East Kildonan, Elmwood and the North End.

“All we’re doing is asking people just to check their yard, look for anything suspicious, to just keep your eyes open and eyes peeled for absolutely anything,” said Laresa Sayles.

Volunteers met at the Gateway Community Centre to grab flyers and get assigned a street.

Sayles said thank you to the crowd on behalf of Nemeth’s mother, father and nine-year-old sister.

She called the support overwhelming.

Amongst the searches was Nemeth’s cousin, Joe Nemeth.

He went door-to-door in North Kildonan, asking for information.

“Talk to everyone we can. We’re not going to leave any stone unturned,” said Joe Nemeth.

Meeting with Nemeth’s cousin brought tears to one woman’s eyes. Kristine Phillips said it touched her heart to meet with someone directly related to Nemeth.

‘It’s very upsetting to hear something like that, no matter where it is. It really hurts to hear something that sad,” Phillips said.

Phillips said she’s already been looking for Nemeth, and vowed to continue.

The family is using the hashtag #findcip on social media to get the word out about Nemeth.

They also urge anyone with information to call the Winnipeg Police Service at 204-986-6250.
