The warm December weather isn't hampering holiday spirits in Winnipeg.

At Adrenaline Adventures, kids flock to the hills to go tubing.

The business creates its own snow starting in mid-November.

Owner Jason Rohs said the mild temperatures created slick conditions for tubing.

He said business is better than last year, when the hill had to close due to cold weather.

Koats for Kids said donations are right on track this year.

Donna Albak said donations were slow in the fall due to the warm weather.

But she said the cold snap in November sparked Winnipegger's generosity.

Albak said they've already distributed thousands of coats, but are still looking for more.

The mild temperatures are expected to continue until Christmas Day.

At The Forks on Monday, however, some skaters lamented the above-normal weather, saying it feels like winter has passed Winnipeg by this month.

Winnipeg police also warned people to be careful around thin ice on rivers, streams, creeks, ponds and ditches.
