Readers in Winnipeg could soon be getting a charge out of going to their local library.
The city’s innovation committee is being asked to approve $32,000 to install charging stations for smartphones and other mobile devices.
Under the plan there will be 21 charging stations, one at each library and two at Millennium Library.
A recent report indicated that customers are getting frustrated when they run out of power while trying to access library resources on their mobile phones.
