Winnipeg police have charged a 38-year-old man with attempting to lure girls online.
On Wednesday the Counter Exploitation Unit found a man advertising to meet young women for sexual encounters on a popular social media site.
An undercover officer, posing as a 15 year old female, responded to the advertisement.
Police said the two then began communicating through text message, and eventually made arrangements to meet.
The suspect offered money in exchange for sexual acts, according to police.
Derek Smart is facing charges of luring a person under 16 years old and obtaining sexual services from a person under 18 years old.
He remains in police custody.
