A Winnipeg man who was arrested after allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle in August 2014 is now facing two additional charges, including manslaughter.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2014 around 2:30 a.m., police received reports of a woman being struck by a vehicle near St. Mary’s Road and St. Anne’s Road.

Police investigation had revealed that the driver and the passenger in the vehicle got in an argument which turned physical, resulting in the driver pushing the passenger out of the vehicle while it was moving.

The victim, who was identified as 35-year-old Jennie Lynda Lee Graves, was struck by the rear tires of the vehicle. She was transported to hospital in critical condition where she later died of her injuries.

Police located 35-year-old Keith Ryan Thompson and arrested him on the scene.

Thompson was originally charged with criminal negligence causing death, impaired driving causing death, refusing to take a breathalyzer in an accident causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to remain on scene of an accident.

On February 4, 2016 two new charges were added including manslaughter and failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death.

Thompson remains in police custody.
