Five drug incidents resulting in six arrests were part of what kept police officers busy in Winnipeg on Monday.

The first incident occurred at 4:30 a.m., when officers saw a man pushing a motorcycle near Logan Avenue and Keewatin Street, and a discussion with the 32-year-old man led them to discover he had breached multiple court conditions and was in possession of weapons and Fentanyl.

Other incidents later that day included an arrest of a 30-year-old man for possession of methamphetamine, stolen goods and break in tools on Portage Avenue, the arrest of two men in their 20s who were pulled over in a car with lapsed insurance near McPhillips Street and Pacific Avenue, who police said had illegal Xanax and cocaine on them, and the arrest of a 29-year-old who fit the description of someone witnesses had seen trying to steal bicycles on Marion Street, who police said was carrying break-in tools and methamphetamine.

Then at around 9 p.m., officers spotted a car going excessively fast and pulled it over. A 21-year-old man was charged with 19 offences after police said they saw drug and drug trafficking paraphernalia and three large knives in a passenger area of the car. He was taken into custody.
