Staff at a Winnipeg restaurant say ‘Fred’, their stuffed otter has wandered off.
“Fred the otter has been our mascot for two years, we keep him at the back bar and people love coming in to take pictures with him,” said Russel Pfeiffer, bar manager at Rudy’s Eat & Drink.
Pfeiffer explained ‘Fred’ is like no ‘otter’ mascot they’ve ever had and that the whole thing is an ‘odd’ situation.
“It happens all the time, the boys take 'Fred' out for a bachelor party and usually he makes it back, this time he hasn’t,” said Pfeiffer.
He said 'Fred' was last seen six weeks ago enjoying a bachelor party with some customers.
According to Pfeiffer the stuffed mascot has become a part of their family, and his return would mean the world to them.
Staff are handing out stickers and posters around the city to try and find him.
