Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman on Wednesday.

Around 2 p.m. on Aug. 29, RCMP were called about a vehicle rollover on Highway 374 near Cross Lake.

An investigation showed that a station wagon was heading south when it left the roadway and rolled over at least once, said RCMP.

The 67-year-old driver from Cross Lake was thrown from the vehicle. She was rushed to hospital by emergency crews, where she was pronounced dead, said RCMP.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Seatbelt use is considered a factor in the fatal rollover, said police.

Officers continue to investigate the crash.
