Receivers Terrence Edwards and Derick Armstrong re-signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Tuesday.

Both contracts are for one year plus an option. Edwards led the Bombers in receiving yardage last season with 1,280 yards on 80 receptions, ranking him second in the league behind Geroy Simon of the B.C. Lions (1,308).

Edwards' 80 receptions ranked him second on the team behind Armstrong, who had 83, while his 16.0 yards-per-catch average was second behind Milt Stegall (16.1).

Edwards caught nine passes for 90 yards in the CFL playoffs, as the Bombers defeated Montreal and Toronto before losing to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Grey Cup. His performance earned him berths on the East Division and CFL all-star teams.

Armstrong had 83 catches in 17 regular-season games, finishing with 1,142 yards and six touchdowns.

He caught 13 passes for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Labour Day Classic in Regina, his best game of the season.
