Police in Brandon have arrested and charged a teenage girl after another teen was threatened on Facebook.
Police said a 14-year-old girl reported to police that someone threatened to kill her on the social media site.
Investigators made an arrest Sunday night.
They said they take matters like this very seriously.
"Threats to cause death are always serious and the Criminal Code says that threats can be made in any manner which would include social media," said Const. Ron Burgess of the Brandon Police Service.
Police allege the threats stemmed from a dispute over property.
The teenage suspect will be in court in March.
