Investors Group Field is set to get millions of dollars in repairs.

Premier Greg Selinger said a plan is in place to cover a loan to fix the stadium.

The province is providing a $35.3 million loan guarantee to Triple B, the group that runs Investors Group Field.

The organization is made up of the city, province, football club and the University of Manitoba.

Selinger said he's hoping insurance, and the outcome of an ongoing legal battle, will pay off the loan for the repairs.

When asked if there was a plan B, he said he remains optimistic the insurance and lawsuit will cover the costs.

Stadium builder Stuart Olson, architect Ray Wan and Triple B are embroiled in a lawsuit over drainage, cracking, and insulation issues plaguing the stadium.

The province bankrolled the majority of the stadium's $200 million price tag.

Triple B said repairs will begin immediately after the Grey Cup on Nov. 29, starting with the 200-level concourse on the east side.

Selinger said he's been assured the stadium is safe and ready for the CFL's championship game.
