A court hearing was held Monday for a Winnipeg man suspected of supporting terrorist activities.

Aaron Driver, 23, is challenging an attempt by federal authorities to limit his activities on suspicion he might help or engage in terrorist activities.

Driver did not appear in court Monday.

His lawyer, Leonard Tailleur, said Driver is not a threat and was only voicing his political opinions.

On Monday, his lawyer argued against changes over wording in a peace bond.

Tailleur said the conditions are impacting many aspects of Driver's life, including his ability to get a job.

Driver was released from custody in June and currently has to comply with 18 different conditions, including wearing a GPS tracking device.

Additionally, Driver is banned from going on the Internet and he is also barred from communication with ISIS or having any object with the ISIS logo.

Driver is currently living in Ontario.

He will be back in Winnipeg court in February.
