Manitoba's First Nations police gathered Wednesday night to recognize officers who went above and beyond the call of duty.
Awards were handed out by the First Nations Chiefs of Police Association at the Place Louis Riel. The awards recognized courage and bravery while on the job.
In Manitoba, nine officers were recognized for their service.
The First Nations Chiefs of Police Association was started in 1992 and works to advance First Nations police services within Canada.
