Two Manitoba Liberal MPs have been named to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet.
Kildonan-St.Paul MP MaryAnn Mihychuk was named employment minister at a swearing-in ceremony Wednesday morning at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
Winnipeg South Centre MP Jim Carr was named natural resources minister.
Mihychuk is a former NDP MLA in Manitoba who served as minister of industry, trade and mines and minister of intergovernmental affairs during nine years in provincial government.
Jim Carr is a former Liberal MLA and also served as deputy leader of the Manitoba party.
