Anyone hitting the roads in the Fort Rouge area may experience delays come Father’s Day.
Traffic access from Pembina Highway onto Jubilee Avenue will be prohibited Sunday for the 2016 Manitoba Marathon route.
Access from Pembina Highway onto Jubilee Avenue in both northbound and southbound directions will be prohibited. Westbound traffic on Jubilee will be able to access southbound Pembina, but not northbound, the city said.
Motorists should plan on additional travel time, and should detour using Kenaston Boulevard instead of Pembina.
Additionally, intersecting roads along Harrow Street, like Corydon, Grant and Taylor avenues, will be impacted by the route between 8:30 a.m. and noon.
Traffic will be managed at these intersections by police, but traffic will only be able to cross when there are gaps between marathoners.
